Marc Bunt (24) feels like a fish in water at Gelder Logistics. Since July 2022, Marc has been active in planning at the coziest transport broker in Voorthuizen and surrounding areas. “I like working at Gelder Logistics. There is enough to do, the days fly by! I am still in the early stages, so my tasks mainly consist of supporting Sebastian, who is teaching me the ropes of the trade. In the long run, my tasks will be expanded with other tasks. And in addition to my work for Gelder Logistics, I spend many hours on tasks for Spyder Couriers and Transport.”
Transport broker takes care of the customer
The position of planner fits perfectly with Marc’s education. “After completing my MBO Logistics degree, I completed the two-year HBO Logistics Management degree. I graduated last month. I find it great to be able to put my knowledge into practice now.” The spontaneous resident of Voorthuizen comes from a logistics family. “My father is a truck driver, my brother and cousins (two of the owners of Spyder Couriers and Gelder Logistics, Michiel van Maanen and Sebastian Meckelenkamp, are Marc’s cousins, ed.) work in logistics planning. I wasn’t planning to go into this field in the past, but I eventually did.” It turned out to be a good choice. “An important goal in my work is to take care of the customer. And it gives me a lot of satisfaction to solve problems and improve processes. I try every day to bring out the best in myself and others.”
Transport broker with Verstappen-like commitment
In his free time, the friendly planner enjoys going on city trips with his girlfriend, taking fun trips with friends, and watching Formula 1. “Last summer I went to Ibiza and Rome and I watched Formula 1 in Hungary.” Marc’s results-oriented attitude has followed him to Voorthuizen, according to his colleagues at Gelder Logistics.
